Roles & Responsibility

Role Summary

Senior API Automation Test Engineer with 4 to 6 + years of experience in API Automation & functional, regression testing supported by handson exposure to Rest Assured API automation using Java and good to have selenium knowledge. Strong understanding of STLC, Agile methodologies, and API validation testing. Experienced in collaborating with crossfunctional teams through all stages of the Agile lifecycle to deliver highquality software. 

Person should have AI tools exposure to automate workflows.

Key Responsibilities

 Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria

 Design, create, review, and execute detailed manual test cases and test scenarios

 Perform API testing to validate functionality, layout, usability, and user experience of web apps

 Execute API Automation, regression, smoke, and sanity testing across multiple releases

 Develop and execute Rest API Automation test scripts using Rest Assured and Java

 Log, track, retest, and close defects while collaborating with development and product teams

 Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint-level quality planning and estimation

 Use Git for version control activities such as pulling code and reviewing test scripts

 Ensure adherence to STLC processes, testing standards, and overall quality benchmarks

 Good to have knowledge on Selenium with java for UI automation

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

 5+ years of experience in API Automation Testing with hands on Java and Rest Assured Automation tool. Good to have selenium with java knowledge.

 Person should have AI exposure while automation the workflows.

 Solid understanding of STLC and SDLC

 Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery models

 Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Rally/ ALM/ Azure DevOps)

 Good understanding of agile methodologies

 Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills

Education

 Bachelors of Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Good to Have

 Experience working on enterprise applications (Banking, Insurance, or large-scale systems)

 Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps
