Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized GS Executive to manage the day-to-day
operations of the General Stores department. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of
experience in stores or warehouse operations within a cosmetics, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or
manufacturing environment. The role involves inventory management, material issuance, stock
maintenance, documentation, and coordination with internal departments to ensure smooth
operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of general store materials, consumables, and
engineering items.
Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels in the ERP system.
Ensure timely material issuance to Production, Maintenance, Admin, and other
departments.
Perform Goods Receipt (GRN) and verify materials against purchase orders and invoices.
Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Maintain proper documentation for inward and outward material movements.
Monitor minimum and reorder stock levels and coordinate with Procurement for
replenishment.
Ensure proper storage practices, labeling, and housekeeping in the stores area.
Coordinate with vendors and transporters for timely receipt of materials.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stock reports.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and inventory control procedures.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and inventory
records.
Requirements
Required Skills
Good knowledge of store and inventory management processes.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP, or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic reporting).
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Eligibility Criteria
Education: Graduate in Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, or any relevant discipline.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in stores, warehouse, or inventory management
in a cosmetics, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing company.
Experience in ERP-based inventory management is preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience handling general stores, consumables, maintenance spares, and indirect
materials.
Familiarity with FIFO/FEFO inventory practices.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in inventory management.
