Roles & Responsibility
• Lead end-to-end delivery of the in-scope R2R services, including Cash Accounting and Close, Fixed Asset Accounting, Gift Card and Revenue AMP operational accounting.
• Own tower performance against agreed volumes, SLAs, KPIs, close calendars, quality measures, controls and contractual boundaries.
• Plan capacity, work allocation and cross-training across the R2R team, including management of quarter-end seasonality, Week 13 / Week 1 coverage and business continuity.
• Govern complex operational escalations and ensure accounting policy, close ownership, ASC 606 judgements, SOX sign-offs, tax ownership and other retained decisions are routed to authorised Apple owners.
• Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews, aged-item governance, root-cause analysis, corrective-action plans and risk / dependency tracking.
• Ensure SOPs, close calendars, reconciliation standards, control evidence, quality plans, training and certification records are current and audit ready.
• Provide review and oversight for journal support, reconciliations, account commentary and evidence packs without assuming Apple-retained approval authority.
• Coach and performance-manage 3A accountants, maintain succession and specialist coverage, and ensure readiness for volume peaks and process changes.
• Partner with Apple Finance, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and business stakeholders to resolve cross-functional dependencies and improve close predictability.
• Oversee transition, cutover, hypercare and steady-state stabilisation and lead approved standardisation, automation and reconciliation-improvement initiatives.
• Protect agreed scope, SLA exclusions, stopped-clock dependencies and change-control requirements and provide clear reporting to Infosys and Apple governance forums.
Requirements
• India: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance; CA, CMA, ACCA, CPA, MBA Finance or a comparable postgraduate/professional qualification is strongly preferred.
• 10–15 years of progressive R2R / controllership / shared-services experience, including at least 3 years leading accounting teams or major workstreams.
• Broad experience across cash accounting, bank reconciliation, general accounting, close, fixed assets, revenue accounting and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Demonstrated expertise in close governance, accounting controls, SOX environments, audit support, SLA/KPI governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
• Working knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting and reconciliation platforms such as BlackLine and iRecon; familiarity with FEBAN and fixed-asset platforms is advantageous.
• Proven people leadership, capacity planning, transition/stabilisation, quality improvement and executive communication capability.
• Strong accounting judgement and ability to maintain clear boundaries between supplier preparation/review responsibilities and Apple-retained ownership and approvals.
