Role: Team Lead – Fund Accounting
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – Fund Accounting with 4+ years of relevant experience in Fund Accounting, NAV Calculation, NAV Validation, and Fund Operations. The candidate should have prior team handling / people management experience and a strong understanding of investment products and fund accounting processes.
Candidates with exposure to Private Equity, Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, or Investment Banking/Fund Services will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day Fund Accounting and Fund Operations activities.
- Perform and review NAV calculation and NAV validation.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of fund accounting processes.
- Review fund transactions, reconciliations, income, expenses, and related accounting activities.
- Identify and resolve accounting breaks, exceptions, and discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to process controls, quality standards, and client SLAs.
- Prepare and review operational reports and MIS.
- Coordinate with internal, onshore, and offshore stakeholders.
- Handle client/stakeholder queries and ensure timely resolution.
- Drive process improvements and maintain operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and manage team members, ensuring productivity, quality, and timely delivery.
- Conduct regular performance monitoring and provide feedback/coaching to team members.

Requirements
Experience Criteria
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Fund Accounting / Fund Operations.
- Prior experience in a Team Lead / supervisory role preferred.
- Candidates must have demonstrated people management or team handling experience.
- Experience working in an Investment Banking, Asset Management, Fund Administration, or Financial Services environment is preferred.
Preferred Target Companies
Candidates from organizations such as BNP Paribas, BNY Mellon, State Street, Northern Trust, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Citi, HSBC, and other reputed Investment Banking / Fund Services organizations will be preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or related discipline.
- CFA / MBA Finance / CA or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
