Job description :
Role Summary
Responsible for handling complex mortgage files, ensuring accuracy, meeting TAT, and supporting quality and productivity goals. Acts as a subject matter expert and supports junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process US residential mortgage files (Conventional, FHA, VA, etc.)
- Perform detailed income, asset, credit, and collateral analysis
- Validate documents such as 1003, W-2s, tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, credit reports
- Conduct pre-underwriting / post-closing / QC reviews (based on process alignment)
- Ensure compliance with client guidelines and regulatory standards
- Maintain agreed SLAs, productivity, and quality benchmarks
- Identify discrepancies and escalate exceptions timely
- Support audits and internal quality reviews
- Assist new team members with process queries and training support
- Prepare daily production and pipeline reports for leads/managers
Requirements
Required Skills
- 3–6 years of experience in US Mortgage (Loan Processing, Underwriting Support, Closing, or Post Closing)
- Strong understanding of mortgage lifecycle
- Knowledge of agency guidelines (FNMA/FHLMC basics preferred)
- Good analytical and document review skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in high-volume environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work in any shift as per business requirements.
