Roles & Responsibility

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer responsible for ensuring product quality through inspections, process control, and adherence to Quality Management Systems. The role involves managing inspections at all stages, handling non-conformities, and driving continuous quality improvements in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection as per engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct First Part Approval (FPA) and verify middle and last components of production batches.
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming materials, raise MRB (Material Review Board) cases, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Prepare, update, and communicate Quality Alert Notes for internal and external quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with QMS and IATF standards in all quality processes.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and documentation as per system requirements.
  • Train and guide QA Inspectors on inspection techniques, standards, and quality procedures.
  • Ensure all measuring and inspection instruments are calibrated and properly maintained.
  • Support production and engineering teams in resolving quality issues and improving processes.
  • Participate in internal audits and support external/customer audits. 

Experience Required:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: Minimum 8 years
    OR
  • BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering: Minimum 4 years

Education:

Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Certifications (Preferred):

  • ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) Certification
  • Exposure to IATF 16949 standards will be an added advantage

Requirements

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and quality tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Understanding of GD&T basics
  • Familiarity with QMS (ISO 9001:2015) and IATF standards
  • Experience in handling MRB, CAPA, and non-conformance management
  • Knowledge of measurement tools (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Good documentation and reporting skills
  • Effective communication and team coordination

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Exposure to First Article Inspection (FAI)
  • Familiarity with ERP/QMS software 

Qualification:

– Diploma Mech with min 8 years of Experience / BE Mech with Min 4 years of

Experience.

– Quality Management System (QMS) certification ISO 9001-2015 is an added

advantage.

Job Description:
